SHARESIES

Invest like the Best

Sharesies is a low-cost investment platform that allows new investors to sign up and start investing in minutes.

With fractionalised shares and no minimum investment, it’s a real contrast to what investing used to be like.

“In the two years since we started, we’ve attracted more than 52,000 investors, and have over $66M in funds under management—an achievement we’re very proud of.

“We’re well on the way to creating the most financially empowered generation, and we’ve done it all from a secure, robust, and engaging digital platform,” co-founder Brooke Roberts (pictured left with co-founders Sonya William and Leighton Roberts) says.

FLEXITIME

Payroll Super Heroes

FlexiTime provides a range of software solutions that simplify employment.

Since launching their first SaaS payroll product in 2008, they’ve carved out a niche in a highly competitive market as the go-to payroll provider for businesses with casual, part-time and temporary employees.

“It’s a huge segment, and growing fast, as the nature of work changes,” CEO Robert Owen (pictured) says. “The focus is streamlining and automating the complex, repetitive and tedious day-to-day requirements of running a business.”

FlexiTime has recently released a new payroll platform, PayHero, and is expanding into new markets with Invoxy, a timesheet and invoicing system for recruitment agencies.

The Paperless Vote

Horizon State is a secure, convenient and affordable digital ballot box built on blockchain technology, making it tamper-proof and auditable.

Trust and transparency in the election process have dropped right off,” CEO Nimo Naamani (pictured) says. “Blockchain voting can be secure, robust, easily audited and, with Horizon State, very user-friendly – it
has the potential to restore confidence and improve participation”

Since the launch last November, Horizon State has signed up a range of clients, from The Opportunities Party (TOP) to South Australia’s Department of the Premier and Cabinet.

A council in Australia has just completed a vote using the system earlier this month, and a local insurance company will use them for voting at their AGM later this year.

PAY SAUCE

Better business bread & butter

PaySauce software makes it really easy for small and medium enterprises to manage all things employment, like contracts, digital timesheets, payroll and banking.

“The small business software market is already crowded so we had to find a point of difference,” founder and CEO Asantha Wijeyeratne (pictured) says. “Innovation is where the others are lagging – PaySauce was built for iOS and Android and, as far as we know, it’s the only payroll offer with this level of mobile functionality.

PaySauce has moved from a payroll app to a much broader employment platform. Clients range widely across industries, with around roughly 70% across industries in the primary sector.
