The Gold Awards is the premier annual celebration and profiling of the Wellington region's business community. 

​

The Awards night is an important date on the Wellington calendar, whereby up to 650 people congratulate and acknowledge the greater Wellington region and Horowhenua's successful businesses and their outstanding owners, managers and teams. 

 

Special Tributes are also given to deserving individuals and special projects or initiatives that have had a positive impact on the Wellington region.

 

2026 TICKETS & BOOKINGS

TICKET PRICES (TBC):

Ticket includes the Gold Awards presentation theatre-style (see schedule below)

Plus a light supper & dessert with local wines & beers served before and after the awards 

on 3 levels of the Embassy, followed by "House of Golds" afterparty till late.

2025 GOLDS Event Theme:  Racing Golds

For the last 27 years the Golds have had different business-related event themes - both to differentiate each year’s event and to add some fun!
From a Roman Archimedes Eureka moment event (togas worn). 
To major Gold Rush towns and spiritual sister cities - San Francisco (think hippies) and Melbourne.
From sporting themes such as the UK Olympics, the Rugby World Cup. 
To nation-defining events such as Brazil’s Mardi Gras and the Chinese Lunar New Year.
There’s been A Day at the Races, A Night at the Opera.and a Kiwiana Back Yard BBQ
We have had 3 movie themes: the 70s movie revolution in Hollywood, a Bollywood night and of course a Wellywood theme too. In 2024 we went with the Roaring 20s.
Last year our theme was  RACING GOLDS - drawing the many parallels between running a business and running a race. Either on foot or fanging it inside the cockpit of an F1 car and every possible thing in between...... The 2026 Event Theme will be announced at the Finalists Announcement on Friday May 8th
