The Gold Awards are open to everyone, whether you’re a sole trader, an ambitious startup, an established business, or anything in between. With 10 diverse categories there is an opportunity for every business to participate.

STAGE ONE: ENTRY APPLICATION

Monday 2nd February - Tuesday 31st March 2026

FYI The 2025 Stage One Entry Application Forms can be seen via the Category Icon links below.

Stage One requires data that all businesses should be able to access easily.

There are up to 12 questions (depending on the category).
Stage One is text only - no graphics or images required.

From these online entries in Stage One, the 5-6 Finalists will be selected in each of the 10 categories.

ENTRY IS FREE.
The only cost being for any Tickets to the Awards night.

STAGE TWO: FINALISTS ENTRY SUPPLEMENT

Monday 11th May - Friday June 5th
Finalists in the 10 Categories will then have the opportunity - should they wish to provide more detailed information.
A Stage Two Finalists Entry Supplement Guidelines will be provided.
Finalists will have 4 weeks to provide this extra information.

This is your opportunity to add the "sizzle" to your Stage One online Entry Form with graphics and links. The Judges find this extra information VERY useful to provide insight into the "spirit" of your business.

2026 Winners will be announced at the Gold Awards event on Thursday 2nd July 2026
at Wellington's iconic Embassy Theatre, Kent Terrace, Wellington.

STAGE ONE
- ENTRY APPLICATION -

The Entry Forms below ask mostly for factual information on the performance of your business.

Ideally you complete ALL of the questions, so that your business can be fairly compared with others in the same category.

There is still space for you to tell the judges about your business and its achievements and goals, but we want the data on the Stage One Entry Application Form to speak fully and fairly for the business.

Stage One 2026 Entry Applications open Monday 2nd February and close Tuesday 31st March.

HELPFUL TIPS
- You may want to create your answers offline,
then copy and paste your answers into the Form once you have completed them.

ALSO

You can complete your Entry in several sessions and update it whenever you wish until the Entry deadline. (Tuesday 31st March)
Click the SAVE button to save your work to date, then you can return anytime to edit or add to your text before the deadline,
when they are all downloaded for the Judges.

Some questions have a maximum word count of 100, 250 or 700 words. The fields will not allow you to enter more words.

Entries in Creative, Technology, Emerging - Products, Emerging - Services, Global, Supporting & Vibrant Gold are all eligible for the Supreme Award because their Entries cover the whole of these businesses.

Innovation Gold Entries are NOT eligible for the Supreme Award, as these are newer products only in the market for 12 or so months.
