ESCARPMENT DOMES

Dome Sweet Dome

Escarpment Domes takes iconic accommodation, art, and design and uses it to fund native planting and predator control.

"Our mission is to develop publicly owned, environmentally, socially, and economically productive land for the benefit of future generations.” explains founder Hugh Evans, (pictured on left with co founders Blair Boswell & Aaron Hawkins

Guests have the opportunity to make a tangible difference, while kicking back looking at incredible views. An escape that leaves the land in a better state than when they arrived. Good for the soul (and for the planet).

This is the first step in our plan to restore 1500 hectares of land; plant 2 million natives; and sequester 1 million tonnes of CO2. With Escarpment Domes exceeding expectations to date, we aim to take our next step in this journey later this year.

FILL GOOD

Waste Erased

FillGood is revolutionising Wellington’s event scene by replacing single-use cups, plates and trays with reusables.

Since launching in late 2024, we’ve powered reuse at over 233 events, preventing more than 175,321 single-use items from being used.

With a purpose-built wash facility at Sky Stadium and a fleet of over 100,000 reusable items, Fillgood is equipped to support events of any scale. We’ve teamed up with Venues Wellington and Sky Stadium to roll out cup reuse systems, and helped bring reuse to life at outdoor events including Cuba Dupa’s Kai Court, Round the Bays and Island Bay Festival.

As we look to the future, we’re set to expand our capacity and further community engagement, amplifying FillGood’s impact on reuse across Aotearoa." says GM Ali Kirkpatrick (pictured)

TOAST ELECTRIC

Current Affairs

Toast Electric, launched in 2022, is Aotearoa’s only not-for-profit electricity retailer, using a 4:1 giving model to fight energy poverty.
For every four paying customers, one household in need gets support, with 200,000 kWh donated in the last year.

Phil Squire (pictured).
With 56% customer growth in the past year and $2 million annual recurring revenue, Toast reinvests all profits into programmes that improve home energy efficiency and well-being.
Their model not only helps vulnerable households but also supports local businesses and reduces healthcare costs, with ambitious plans to double their customer base and expand regionally in 2025.
