Sipping Beauties....
Upper Hutt’s Brewtown is the place to visit for some of Wellington’s finest range of craft beers, wines and unique food, with 5 different craft beer venues operating side-by-side amongst other industry – including a bourbon and whisky distillery  all at the fun and vibrant repurposed old South Pacific tyre factory.

Owner Malcolm Gillies (pictured) explains, "Brewtown has evolved significantly since 2016, now not only delivering top-shelf drinks, but events – our mouth-watering Low and Slow BBQ competition drew a crowd of more than 5,000 people."

Last year Brewtown hosted numerous events drawing crowds of more than 10,000 throughout the complex including The Greater Wellington Brewday and their very popular Oktoberfest.

Buddy & Soul Study....

CoLiberate is a social enterprise, working with organisations to develop mental health support strategies and first response training across Aotearoa – certifying 1000 first responders to date.

Co-Director Sarah Tuck (pictured right with Co-Director Bop Murdoch) says, "the people trained then take their new framework, new confidence, and new perspectives out into their workplaces, homes, and community to support others around them.

CoLiberate wants every Kiwi to have a trusted someone who will notice and reach out when they are not doing okay and connecting them to the right supports".

Sarah estimates that their trainees, as a whole, are having over 120,000 supportive conversations every single year. As a result, people's lives have been helped significantly and some have even been saved.

Born in 2011, Convex Accounting grew from humble and ambitious origins – a solo accountant working from the boot of a car, with a vision to create an accounting firm that helps other businesses create new opportunities, grow and keep customers happy.


Since the car boot, Convex Accounting have grown into a team of 8 with two offices in Porirua and Wellington, providing their team flexibility and the ability to connect with a wider range of businesses and organisations.

The Space Place ....
Digital Nomad brings individuals and companies together in premium boutique co-sharing office spaces, fostering a dynamic, professional, secure and inclusive environment.


Their themed office spaces are filled with an array of digital nomads, from sole operators and small companies to national and global firms.


Director Vaughan Wilson (pictured) explains "For Digital Nomad, being a part of the local community is important – so we sponsor numerous events and charities. We are especially proud to be the major sponsor of the Premier Rugby Team at Poneke FC."


In the 12 months leading up to March 2020, Digital Nomad saw three more office spaces leased and planned for opening later in the year – their 9th site opening in October.

DIGNITY

Periods of Grace ....
Dignity is a women's wellness initiative championing period equity.  We provide a buy one, give one model for our corporate partners who provide sanitary items in their bathrooms. The equivalent number of boxes are donated to those without access.   


“Dignity only supplies products that are biodegradable, compostable, 100% cotton and fair trade, including menstrual cups and AWWA Period Proof Underwear – which we have been giving away to the schools we support.” says founder Jacinta Gulasekharam (pictured left with co-founder Miranda Hitchings).


To date, Dignity has supported over 35,960 women, by donating 28,999 boxes of period products to 130 schools, youth and community groups across Aotearoa.

Ladies First ....
Double Denim is a creative agency based in Cuba Street, specialising in making progressive ideas mainstream with a specialisation on female-focused strategies that help change the status quo.


Co-founder Anna Dean (pictured right with co-founder Angela Meyer) explains, "we were motivated by the fact that only 3% of creative agencies are run by women, while 80% of all consumer purchasing decisions are made by women”.


Double Denim also run a 10,000-strong community called the Ace Lady Network and the subscription-based Ace Lady Network Feminist Clubhouse, both formed to educate, inform, inspire, and empower women through a weekly newsletter, workshops and events. For instance, “Money, Money, Money” was created to help women get less anxious about their finances.
